Repair Credit Report Help

I am having a hard time locating work?

I will give a little background so you'll understand. My husband and I had some bad luck last year. We lost two jobs in one month, lost our home to foreclosure, and lost our vehicle. We decided to move to another state and start over. My husband found a job right off the bat.. working at a pizza place.( He is trained in computer repair) I have 20 years of customer service experience as well as banking. The trouble that I am running into is that most employers do not want to hire me due to my credit report. I am very honest with them about what happened. If I do not find a job soon, I am afraid that we will lose everything that we are trying to keep. any suggestions? We do not qualify for any time of state aid due to that fact that my husbands job makes 18.00 to much.Ha Try living off of 1800.00 a month for a family of 3. One being a teen-aged boy. Thanks for listening.

  1. It would help if you said where you lived.L.A. has lots of banks and computers. You might consider starting your own business however. I got my PC tuned up by a guy here in town that just fell into the business. He came from some company and word got out that he could do wonders with computers and there he went. All he did was print a few business cards and let word of mouth take over. He is as busy as he wants to be.
  2. I think thats discrimination. about the credit thing. I know I started my job 4 years ago when i had perfect credit, now its horrible, due to divorce. The compnaies should really stop doing this, escpescially now adays no one has good credit anymore.
  3. Well first things first try to see if you can get a financial advisor probably have to get some of your credit report fixed.. Tell your husband he going to have to do some freelance computer repair gigs. If you guys in New York there are tons of places that hires IT workers and banking but you will have to clear up that credit report. Here's a link not sure if it'll help you or not but Suze pretty good.
