how do i fix a bad credit?
about 4-5 yrs ago, i had a writ of summons issued. but i managed to settle all debt in full. Now, 5yrs down the road, I am unable to secure a loan with anyone. This loan is for education purposes and i am trying so hard to start life on a fresh slate but no one is giving me a chance to. what can i do to clear off a bad credit report on myself? I forgot to add I live in singapore. I do not want a credit card. I do not like them and I know my urge to spend will be too great. What i need is a loan. When a company does a check on me, The details of my case are showed but they are showed as concluded....but this is only with SOME. The company I tried to secure a loan with had a sooo not updated record. All the cases were showed as pending. And when i spoke to them about this and showed them proff it was indeed closed, they said there are different systems used. Even the courts have an updated record. (i know this cause i went down to check) when i said clean slate I meant I have learnt from my stupid mistakes and so have been paying off bills and what have yous on time since that dark period i went through

- Get a secured credit. Charge only what you can pay for. Maintain a good payment record. You should be back on track in a year or so.
- Have you gotten your three credit reports yet? When you get those then you can see what's on them and move on from there! Phone calls is usually all it takes, as long as your paid up.
- Get a copy of your credit report and dispute all negative items with the credit agency. If you know you are correct, they will have to remove the negative items.
- Going to school with debt is not a clean slate. Save up and pay cash. I worked 40+ hrs a week while going to school full time.
- Bad credit can frustrate your efforts at getting a credit. Hence ensure you keep your credit report clean. If there are any errors in the report, undertake credit repair to clear out any errors. This can be tiring and frustrating, but highly rewarding. Though law recognizes and protects your rights, it is your duty to remove any anomalies in ...........
- Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution. I will hereby talk from my personal experience. I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details, if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first, a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found : http://umgarticles.atspace.com/debt-consolidation.htm if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!
