how to fix my bad credit?
last year i applied for 2 credit cards and valero gas card and got denied so i finally got online and ran my credit report i found out my mom had applied for almost 5 cards and had maxed them out and never paid them off shes put me in almost $3,000 in debt so i have bad credit now the thing is ive tried to dispute them and some of them still wont come off i would file a police report but dont want to put my mother in jail is there anything i can do besides aying them off to fix my credit? like i said this is close to 3,000 dollars please help

- obviously your mother doesnt care about you...I'd talk with an attorney and get some legal advice on how to sue your mother.
- If I was in your position then I would forget about my mother ever paying back these credit card balances. I would not even mention it to her in the future since it will only jeopardize our already bad relationship. I would rather work on getting a $3,000 loan or getting a job (or another part time job) in order to repay these loans. I would suggest that you contact the creditors and ask them for pay-for-delete deals. You can start with one creditor/collection agency at a time and pay them as you save the amount owed to that creditor/collection agency. Hopefully you will get these derogatory accounts off your credit report. You should also get Fraud Alert so that nobody can get credt card or loan without your knowledge. Good Luck.
- Your mother put you in a very bad position. You should contact one of those credit counselors (the not for profit kind) and ask them how to proceed. I know of a couple that had terrible credit, too and they used their infant daughter's social security number to obtain a phone. People just don't think.
