how exactly does it work? how can i keep it good and if I get bad credit report can i fix it?

- Always pay off your monthly bills IN FULL. If you make the minimum payment only, you will get a ok score. to improve your score: - pay on time - have 2 to 3 credit cards - do not ask for credit check too often (it hurts every time you apply for a loan / credit card /...) - have high credit lines.
- 3 different credit reporting agencies all get information from any company you sign up with offering you credit[invisible money] and then when you don't pay they post it on your credit report..... after so long your credit score starts to go down and then you have bad credit and wont be able to do many things someone with good credit has!

You can check your own score (this is called a soft hit) and it has no affect on your score and a good habit to get into to do once a year to make sure that there are no errors on your bureau report. The score goes up with good behaviour and down with bad ~ simply put :):)
